Hey everybody — it’s Pete Macedo, candidate for mayor, owner of Blacksburg Bagels, and friend to this beautiful tree.

There’s some super loud crows up there, so hopefully you’ll be able to hear me over that. Isn’t it a murder of crows? That’s creepy — that’s not the point.

I just want to thank everybody who’s been coming out and thanking me for running — and for running the campaign that we did.

I wanted to really give a shoutout to all the folks who helped us run our campaign. It wasn’t just the people — it was the businesses. There’s so many local businesses that were a part of our campaign: doing printing, doing screen printing, helping us make stickers, distribution of materials, hosting us, and being able to provide information to the community.

There are so many things we were able to do because we have local businesses in town — and because we chose those local businesses. We feel that’s so important.

So we’re going to link a lot of the local businesses that we worked with — and I’m sure we’ll miss some — but please, go out and support your local businesses, no matter what you’re doing.
